The brief
Many people miss out on government schemes not because they are ineligible, but because they do not know the schemes exist, do not understand the eligibility requirements, or struggle with the documents and application process.
Yojana Sahayak was built for a confidential client to make this information significantly easier to discover and understand. The platform brings government scheme information into a single, accessible experience and helps users identify relevant benefits, understand eligibility, find required documents, and learn how to proceed.
What we built
A central scheme discovery platform. We created a user-facing platform that organises government scheme information into an approachable experience, making important details such as eligibility, benefits, required documents, and application information easier to find.
An automated government-data pipeline. Government scheme information was collected from relevant government websites through a dedicated scraping and processing pipeline. The collected information was structured so it could power the platform instead of requiring users to navigate multiple government portals manually.
Multilingual access. The platform supports eight languages, helping reduce language as an additional barrier to accessing public-benefit information.
AI-assisted guidance. We integrated an AI assistant that can help users understand scheme information and navigate their questions naturally. The assistant supports both text and voice interaction, giving users more than one way to access the information.
The data challenge
A major part of the project was building the information foundation behind the product.
Government websites are not uniform databases. Information can be spread across different pages and presented in different structures. We built a scraping and processing workflow capable of collecting relevant scheme information and transforming it into data that could be consumed consistently by the application.
The scraping pipeline was also delivered to the client, giving them the underlying capability to continue maintaining their scheme-data workflow.
Designed around the user
The platform was built around a simple principle: finding a government benefit should not require the user to already understand the government website or its terminology.
Instead of starting with complex portals and asking users to figure out where to look, Yojana Sahayak puts discovery and understanding first.
Users can explore schemes, review their important requirements, understand what documents are needed, and use the assistant when they need additional guidance.
Results
Yojana Sahayak brought scheme discovery, structured government information, multilingual access, and AI-assisted guidance into one platform.
The project delivered both the end-user product and the supporting data-collection infrastructure required to keep the platform supplied with scheme information.
The client remains anonymous, but granted permission for the project to be featured as part of our work.
